Privacy
Vélog keeps your data on your device. There is no Vélog server and there are no accounts. I don't collect, sell, share or monetise any of your information. I don't have any of it.
What stays on your device
- All rides, photos, notes, ratings and tags.
- The list of devices you have paired, and any per-device sync settings.
- Any cached weather samples backfilled by the optional weather source.
- Your Pro bike list and per-ride bike-type assignments.
- Your Workshop bikes, components and service history.
What Vélog does not do
- No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting.
- No third-party SDKs of any kind.
- No advertising identifiers, no fingerprinting.
- No Vélog account: there is nothing to sign up for.
- No background tracking of your location while you ride.
Network access
Vélog only connects to the services below. Ride sources and weather are used only after you set them up. Apple Maps is part of every map in the app:

Wahoo Fitness Cloud

api.wahooligan.com,cloud-api.wahooligan.com). Only after you sign in with your Wahoo account. Used to fetch your finished workouts and to refresh your access token. -
Strava
(
www.strava.com). Only after you sign in with your Strava account. Used to fetch your activities and to refresh your access token. -
Ride with GPS
(
ridewithgps.com). Only after you sign in with your Ride with GPS account. Used to fetch your recorded trips and to refresh your access token. -
Open-Meteo
(
historical-forecast-api.open-meteo.com,archive-api.open-meteo.com). Only when you turn on weather under Settings → Data Sources. Vélog sends the coordinates and times along your route to get the historical weather. Nothing that identifies you is sent. - Apple Maps. Shows the maps, looks up the place name for a ride's start and end and runs the place search. Apple gets the coordinates of those points. No Vélog account and no ride data.
- Apple Health. A local call on your device, no network involved.
Bluetooth is only used to talk to a bike computer you paired (currently the CYCPLUS M3).
Permissions Vélog will ask for

Vélog does not ask for your location (in use or in the background), microphone, camera, contacts, calendars or motion.
App Store privacy summary
Vélog declares "Data Not Collected" in App Store Connect.
Data deletion
Deleted rides go to the trash and are removed for good after 30 days. To wipe everything right away, delete Vélog from your device. iOS then removes all of its private storage.
